Cordless vacuum warranties will vary by manufacturer and by model, but the majority of models we’ve tested will offer at least a year of coverage, if not two. The Dyson and Tineco models we tested each offer two years of coverage, as does the Samsung Bespoke Jet, though Samsung only offers a single year for its Jet 75 and Jet 90 cleaners. As may be expected, this vacuum’s suction power does make it one of the loudest vacuums we tested. Even on auto suction, it was incredibly loud and we would not want to use this vacuum on boost mode for any extended period of time. The LCD screen offers insights into the run time, power countdown, and maintenance needs, but the instruction manual provided little insight into properly understanding all the features included on the display.
Specifically, we run a rigorous slate of tests to determine each cleaner’s capabilities when it comes to picking up a variety of messes on a variety of different floor types. The motorized brush bar helps remove deep down dirt and bissell cordless vacuum pet hair from carpets, while the Ball technology allows you to effortlessly move the vacuum around furniture and other obstacles. The telescoping wand and hose gives you a long reach to clean stairs, walls, drapes, and ceilings.
Just be forewarned that the max mode delivers more power, but it shortens the battery life to under 10 minutes. (Save it for spot-cleaning, especially dirty areas.) Like many Dyson cordless stick models, we didn’t love that you have to hold down the trigger the whole time you’re vacuuming either. Dyson produces a decently large variety of vacuum cleaners that work well on different surfaces, though you can expect to pay a hefty premium for that performance and versatility. Most offerings in their lineup are maneuverable, easy to carry around, and come with a wide variety of brushes. Their build quality is usually plasticky, and user maintenance is a little finicky.
