Forcing your poles through their sleeves, hanging heavy objects from your tent ceiling, or failing to properly stake and guy out a Coleman tent is a great way to pop a seam. The downside of this design is that the panels must be closed coleman instant tent when it is raining. In such situations, this tent will not be a very pleasant place, you do not have mesh on the ceiling as typical for summer tents with a separate fly. But the 14 x 10 version also exists as an option with the accessory fly included. So do not get confused if you see different descriptions on the Internet.

The set up also take some time as the poles are not pre-attached. You will have to extend the poles then put them in sleeves and attach the tent body to the poles. There is a built-in rainfly in the tent that comes with two vents.
CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent is for people who is looking for an alternative to Coleman 6 Person Instant Tent but wants to have more storage compartment, the e-Port and the ability to do stargazing at night. You really have to look where you are going at night if not you may end up stepping on someone. The guy lines that come with the tent are also reflective. This is helpful if you are wondering at night trying to find your tent. You will have to bring in your electrical extension cord through a hole in the door if you really want to bring in some electricity.
This tent offers you a separate room to store your gear, keeping it out of your way at night. Despite having this two-room feature, it still sets up in seconds and has two doors, four windows and hooded vents to keep you comfortable throughout your use. Of course, if you’re using this tent without the rain fly in dry weather, it’s even easier to setup. Fully taped seams apply to the rain fly on doors and windows, which feature practical velcro frame attachments. I personally think the best way to lie, particularly if there were 3 people, would be with the door to the side. I believe this tent would still be comfortable with 3 people, but would leave less room for gear. Having re-erected the tent once home to dry it out, I have to say, it only takes around 1-2 minutes to open now.
You will also need another person to help out with the setting up. Maybe gimmick is too strong a word for Coleman’s instant tent. Price wise it just does not stand up to other Coleman tents. Many other Coleman Tents are available that are larger in size and of the same or better quality for less money. “They do however take an extra 10 minutes to setup and breakdown” price is a big thumbs down to save a few minutes a couple of times a year.

By the spring of 2014 we see interest in Instant tents start to equal that of the immensely popular Dome tent that is now starting to decline in popularity. The tent is easy to set up, but as we explained earlier, not instant. Assembling this tent is easy thanks to the pre-attached poles which click into place, forming the cabin shape of the tent. For many campers, bendy poles wouldn’t be a huge issue, but for campers with kids who may bounce around inside or against the tent, it’s more of a worry-factor. It is a three-season tent that is best suited to fair-weather camping throughout summer and in the milder months of fall and spring.
