Keurig® K-Elite® Single-Serve K-Cup Pod® Coffee Maker, Iced Coffee Capability

I have used and replaced many Keurig brewers, so I know every bit of these makers. She had ordered a Keurig C K-Elite and her parcel came in front of me. With its 5 cup sizes, it’s suitable for most households and preferences, so this is a good all-rounder Keurig coffee maker. A few minutes per day should be enough to keep your Keurig coffee maker in top shape. By selecting this setting, the K-Elite will brew hot coffee over ice while accounting for coffee dilution due to ice melt.

It’s far less prone to breaking down than the Keurig K Supreme models. The K Elite does not have the technical bugs that seem to be so common among Keurig Supreme models. Like all of the Keurig machines we’ve tested, the K-Elite performed amazingly in all of our tests except for the taste test. If you enjoy K-Cup coffee, then this machine will not disappoint. It comes with the Strong Brew option, but this does not really provide an advantage in terms of coffee quality when compared to the cheaper Keurig K-Select.

(There are espresso K-Cups available for purchase that you can use for the “shot” function, too.) The “shot” function is ideal for creating lattes, macchiatos and more espresso-driven drinks. There’s an iced coffee button, too, which brews at a lower temperature and flow rate. The brewer has five temperature and six strength settings — the most customization Keurig has ever offered in keurig classic a coffeemaker. The lowest is ideal for making iced drinks, while the highest promises to froth oat and almond milks. In fact, all you need to do to make a scrumptious chilled K Cup beverage is hit the iced button, add some of your own ice to the cup, and watch the K Elite brew your chosen drink. That is great for making oatmeal, tea, and for people who just like to drink hot water.

Well, the K-elite does have a travel mug brewing option up to 7.2” tall, but not having a carafe brewing option is a downside. The previous version of this machine, the plus series, used to come with LCD touch panels. Some people found it inconvenient hence the company changed it with buttons which are more practical. Even I prefer using buttons, but it felt like going backward. After you are done, get the pod out, throw out the coffee ground, do it right away, otherwise, it’s gonna get solid and harder to clean.

Descaling takes about 70 minutes and should be done every few months. The Keurig K-Elite comes with quite a few options not available on run-of-the-mill single-serving coffee makers. Let’s take a look at some of these features below so that you can decide if the K-Elite meets your coffee drinking needs. Add this to the fact that it makes some of the best-tasting coffee of all Keurig machines, and the K keurig classic Elite is undoubtedly one of the better single-serve coffee makers on the market right now. Both Keurig K Elite and K Elite C deliver fantastic morning coffee and allow you to jumpstart your day with a clear head. Both brewers are pretty much the same, except that K Elite C comes with a water filter, pod adaptor system, starter kit and K-cup variety pack, while  Keurig K Elite lacks these accessories.

The K Elite still doesn’t brew K-cups for as long as the Keurig K Supreme and K Supreme Plus, even with its “strong” button on. The Keurig K Elite brews K-cups for 40 seconds with the strong button off and 60 seconds with the strong button on. The Keurig K Elite makes better-tasting coffee than all Keurig coffee keurig elite coffee maker makers with the exception of Keurig’s K Supreme range. It offers all the features you need and has a lower cost while omitting the features most people don’t need or care about. Also, for just a bit more you can get the K-Cafe, which does essentially the exact same things and has a built-in milk frother.

So all you do is just add your favorite blend of coffee grounds, pop in the reusable K-cup and your good to go. Just remember not to grind your grounds too fine, or overfill and tamp your grounds too much. The K Elite is a classic-looking Keurig model that stands 13.1 inches tall. You can choose between brushed silver, brushed gold, and brushed slate — all slight variations on a metallic sheen.

While Keurig’s descale mode is supposed to make descaling the machine easier, it actually makes it much harder. The K Elite’s control panel is not terrible, but pretty poorly designed by Keurig machine standards. You can still make a good 8 oz and 10 oz coffee with the K Elite, you’ll need to use a reusable K-cup to do this. Despite its strong button, the K Elite still brews more slowly than the K Supreme & K Supreme Plus. The Keurig K Elite is meant to be one of the higher-end Keurig machines and is priced accordingly. I’m a passionate coffee hobbyist, and I know people everywhere in the value chain of coffee.
