Ozark Trail Tents on Walmart com 12-Person Tent Cabins, Yurts, & More

They are made for family and casual camping, and as such as are designed to be easy to set up, even if you have never set up a tent before. Ozark Trail is what many would consider ozark trail chair an “off brand” in the camping world. It’s made more cheaply than competitors like Marmot, Nemo, REI Co-op, and others, since it’s a product line developed by Walmart.

For your next family camping trip, you’ll be hard pressed to find something better for the price. The Ozark Trail 4 Person Clip & Camp Dome Tent is the perfect tent for all your outdoor needs. This 8′ x 8.5′ tent is easy to set up and fits in most camping spaces. The unique enlarged dome design allows for more comfortable headroom while still maintaining that great low profile. Enough room to easily fit a queen-sized air mattress with extra room to store your gear and other needed camping items.

Their tents start at as low as just $29.97 for 3 people and $39 for 4 people tents! Plus there are some super deals on easy set up tents and family size tents too. When you’re out with your friends or on a family camping trip, you need a tent that offers plenty of room. Larger tents will allow you to set up queen-sized mattresses and extra chairs. For glamping, it’s best to choose some extra space that offers the best comfort.

It’s a great spot to stash your “middle of the night bathroom break” shoes and anything else you don’t want taking up space inside the tent. The Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin takes our top spot as the best Ozark Trail tent. With room for 12 and nearly seven-foot ceilings, it checks all our boxes for a big family tent, but even as cabin shelters go, this one is special. This tent can fit the Alps Mountaineering lightweight cot inside. In comparison to my other tents from REI, Mountainsmith and Big Agnes, this tent is well-made for the price.

My friend chose to not put up his rain fly betting on the perfect weather to continue while enjoying the stars at night. During those five minutes of rain, he was a little more stressed as the risk of a wet sleeping bag had not been completely mitigated and he rushed back to the campground. True, I wasn’t able to remove the rain fly to watch the stars or let the wind ventilate my tent, but I was able to enjoy the day hikes without any sort of worry. In essence, I had committed to the permanent rainfly option by default and there was a certain contentedness that came with that. The first good design feature is the placement of the door on the side, and more specifically on the long side of the tent. I’ve tried tents with the door on one end and it is cumbersome.

Tip for those who camp, ensure that the tent is pulled tightly this ensures quick runoff of water. Also always put some form of plastic on the ground under the tent this keeps ground water from seeping up, finally keep bags away from the tent sides this reduces surface tension and leads to leaking. The poles I think are a bit fragile though so I am extra careful when setting up no to put too much stress on them after setting up however they hold out quite well even with very strong breeze. It’s amazing how the tent, poles, and fly all fit into the carry-bag and I can still carry it at age 69. Although I expect limited opportunity to use one, I’m hoping to be able to find a new one, just in case.

The one exception to the rule here is for the larger cabin-style tents, especially those with an “instant tent” design that uses pre-attached poles. Again, s are mainly fair weather camping tents (so you won’t be hiking into the backcountry with them) which means weight and packed size aren’t a big priority. This screened-in shelter also gets high points for its price, which is always a selling point with an Ozark Trail tent, but this one represents a particularly good value considering all its features. Layout wise is virtually identical to the Core Instant Cabin we evaluated for our 10 person tent roundup, but delivers those same massive interior dimensions for about $100 less.

Other perks of the Three Room Instant Cabin include an instant tent design with pre-attached poles for easy set-up and dual ground-level vents designed to work with a tent air conditioner. These tents aren’t designed for tackling rough weather conditions and heavy wind loads. But the waterproofing is good enough to keep you protected from the occasional rains. Our top product, the 14 person cabin tent, comes with 4 spacious rooms and a liberal central height. You also get a simple setup, excellent ventilation with 12 windows, and a mesh roof for enjoying the views.
