A little ergo friendliness goes a long way with this one, and it can give you a very close shave with a 0.1 mm finish using just the bare guard. After picking it as the winner in our initial review and using it actively for another 12 months, we have few complaints. Few nicks, no signs of wear, and overall a great product we would purchase again and again. We wish the price tag wasn’t so hefty for a singularly focused tool, but it’s a pain point worth paying to solve for many people. As a next best option, the Bodygroom is also capable, but it’s likely still imperfect for those without a yoga background.

Men usually want a close trim (skin level) in the groin area and a reasonably short trim on the rest of the body (2mm and up). You can use a push-style trimmer with or without a guard as nicks are a lot less likely in those areas. Since the head of these trimmers has two rows of blades and it can work in either direction, you can also push it, but pushing it won’t be nearly as practical and effective. The remaining stomp will poke through one of the holes in the foil and will get cut at skin level, resulting in a very close shave.
