Bomgaars : Pit Boss 4-Burner Deluxe Gas Griddle : Gas Griddles

It can cook a range of foods that a grill cannot without accessories – pancakes, omelets, loose vegetables, and so much more. I kept the left two burners at a lower heat while keeping the right two burners on high. This allowed me to stir fry vegetables for a fried rice dish on the hot side, while keeping the rice warming on the low-heat side.

A standard grill features numerous rungs with gaps in between to allow your food to cook directly over a heat source like charcoal or gas. Anyone in the market for big griddles should definitely consider the Pit Boss 4-burner gas griddle. I tested the ceramic griddle top with ground beef burgers, ground lamb burgers, chicken breast, vegetables and toasting buns. You can almost use this griddle dry, as food easily slides across the surface – you wouldn’t dare think of doing that with the original steel surface. The steel surface is porous whereas the ceramic griddle is sealed.

I keep things pretty simple, with basic ingredients that most people have in their kitchen already. Not sure what kinds of meals you can make on a quality griddle? Any of these recipes are going to work well on both of these griddle brands.

Now you can cook hibachi-style food, breakfast, and brunch right from your patio space with this 4-burner flat top gas grill from Country Smokers. With 597 square inches of cooking pit boss pellets area, it is a powerhouse that’s packing 44,000 BTU. It comes with a pre-seasoned steel griddle top so that you can get to cooking as soon as you finish assembling the grill.

Just unfold it, install the bottom and side shelves, then place the griddle surface on top and you’re ready to start cooking. The largest burner has a U-shape and covers more surface area than the other three. I’ve noticed the griddle surface doesn’t get as hot above this burner, but it works great for foods that need cooked slower like root vegetables.

Another major plus is its vented dome cover, which gives the option of steaming, roasting, and even baking—a feature other flat-top grills lack. It also features space beneath the grill surface to hide the propane tank, four wheels with two locking castors, a folding prep table, and a towel rack. Expect extras such pit boss flat top as folding side-serving shelves, a wide storage shelf underneath, hooks for grilling tools, and removable grease buckets. Most flat-top grills also have locking castors and powder-coating to prevent rust—these ones can be stored outside. Some flat-top grills feature folding legs for storage or portability.

Now, it doesn’t offer storage space, but that makes it lightweight and adds to its portability. The legs are foldable and you can easily carry this flat grill wherever you choose to go with your tribe. Ultimately, the grease trap placement and design is a matter of personal preference. I can only review the 3 burner model because that’s what I have first-hand knowledge of, and in my experience the 3 burner has a fairly large cool spot on the left side of the griddle. This was a big pro for our family, because we like to tailgate and we have outdoor get-togethers quite often. In fact, I recently took my Pit Boss on a 3 hour road trip to a family reunion in a state park. It fit perfectly in the trunk of my wife’s SUV, and I was able to cook up 6 packs of bratwursts for the whole family to enjoy.
