Schwinn Marshall 27 5 eBike Battery Charger

Super powerful, it takes off like you can’t imagine! Love to walk around with it and pedestrians turn when we pass by. From not driving cars to not owning items like TVs or computers, the Amish have a culture with specific rules, but they do make allowances for modern inventiveness from time to time. One bit of technology they have opted to embrace is the electric bike. The Coston DX does have a flat-out great lighting system, with a bright headlight, taillight, and running light beneath the central frame that provides solid surrounding visibility. It also has a hidden pocket in the seat, which is a pretty neat way to store your phone, keys, and other small items.

On the other hand, in the time I’ve had an e-bike, I have barely touched my poor Trek bike. E-biking is very powerful and addictive, and it has ruined traditional cycling for me, and I can’t decide if that’s a good thing. So, while schwinn road bike my doctor, my therapist, and I all unpack that, this is my full review of the Coston CE e-bike from Schwinn. Ease of riding at higher speeds without battery assistance. So I can’t say that the Schwinn wins on value here.

Or, at least, get some good detail photos of parts otherwise not covered. Received the battery a week after ordering a back up battery for my ebike. It fits perfectly on my bike and is exactly as described. The simple, somewhat disappointing truth is that the Coston DX doesn’t stack up against other e-bikes of a similar price. At over $2,000, it should have better acceleration and range, and as a Schwinn it should have better craftsmanship.

Many of the other wires, for the electric assist and control systems, are internally routed through the frame. This design choice makes the bike look nice and provides a bit of added protection but could make it harder to work on. For this review and the Monroe 250, I was able to borrow demo bikes from the Schwinn team at the Electric Bike Expo in Philadelphia. It was a medium sized frame and I am ~5’9″ tall weighing about 135 lbs.

As a commuter e-bike, I’m also glad to see some good commuter specific parts, like the included fenders and the excellent lighting. Not only do you get typical head and taillights, but you also have LED frame lights built into the sides of the battery. That adds a nice nighttime glow to the bike to give you better side visibility – an area where most bikes are lacking. After leaving the cemetery, I pedaled a county road that unrolls over five hilltops with valleys in between.
