In this test we printed a high resolution outdoor photo on our own 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Radiant White card stock. In the print driver we left paper type as Plain Paper and changed the printing quality to Fine. The first printing test almost seems unfair, as the Epson was thrown into the same arena as the HP Envy 100, a printer that blew us away in it’s ability to print on lighter weight metallic paper and approach laser quality. The Epson’s print quality is adequate on this Stardream text weight sheet, but the HP is super sharp and saturated. Printing on the subtle embossed linen finish of 80lb (216 gsm) Linen Card Stock – LCI Paper Brand yields less than definitive results.
Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi Direct, and AirPrint, in addition to an SD card reader and a 2.4-inch touchscreen that’s bigger than most. The printer also has some photo tools to enhance pictures before printing epson inkjet printers them, including red-eye removal and auto photo correction. All told, the Epson WorkForce WF-7210DTW is a very able and affordable large-format color printer with low running costs, suited to most small business tasks.
It’s too bad, because while purchase prices can be hard to swallow, a solution like the EcoTank is probably a lot more cost-effective in the long run. We decided to try another paper type so in the print driver we chose “Presentation Paper Matte” but ran into another paper jam. “Photo Paper Glossy” turned out to be the epson photo printer right choice but as expected, the paper took extra time to print. The ink came out wet, easy to smudge, and requiring extra drying time before we could handle it.
For our tests, we used a sample wedding program insert sheet, designed in Microsoft Word and using the Edwardian Script ITC font. We find this script font useful for revealing printing weaknesses as opposed to a more uniform font like Comic Sans which can hide weaknesses like jagged edges and spreading. If you only need to open and print images and artwork, it is a good option.

No need for a computer link, the file is in the firmware and is mostly a single press of the menu…. This fires up all colours in the head and keeps the thing moist, avoiding clogs. I’ve got 2-3 colors that look fine, 2-3 that are completely missing, 1-2 that have missing lines, and then all this black ink blobbing and dripping.
These multifunction printers are an ideal solution for any office or home that needs to maximize space. In Epson’s Artisan 50 product overview, the ability to “Save paper — easily print on both sides of the paper, saving money and paper” is touted as a key feature. But does this 2 sided printing really save money and should it be considered as a feature?
There’s a handy touchscreen built into the raised scanner bed and plenty of room for paper in both the main tray (250 sheets) and the ADF (35 sheets). There are always trade-offs when it comes to portable printers. But given it serves up prints with such detail and clarity, even at slow speeds, we would recommend the Epson WorkForce WF-110 to anyone who needs to print documents on the road.
