Mongoose BMX Shop Freestyle & Race BMX Bikes

They diversified into mountain bikes and scooters in the 90s, and they’re now bringing their two most famous BMX bikes back into production. Brunswick sold Mongoose to Pacific Cycle in 2000 and Pacific Cycle was bought by Montreal-based Dorel Industries in 2004. By combining Pon.Bike and Dorel Sports, a leading bicycle company in the mongoose excursion world will be created, with a combined revenue of around 2.5 billion euro. Skip Hess started BMX Products, Inc. out of his home in Simi Valley, California in September 1974 with his first product being the famous Motomag One wheel. According to Hess, at its largest stage of expansion, BMX Products, Inc. employed about 85 people.

Push your limits and test your skills on our flagship BMX bike with the Legion L500. This men’s & women’s BMX bike has a Mongoose full 4130 Chromoly frame, removeable brake mounts, and mid BB shell. The Mongoose Legion L60 Bike is a good entry level BMX bike for someone on the slightly taller side.

The Legion L80 is designed for taller riders because it uses a 20.75-inch top tube which will suit riders from around 5’8” tall. It’s the first BMX in the range to use a 4130 Chromoly steel front triangle. Mongoose’s BMX range starts off at the Legion L10. It’s made from hi-tensile steel with 1 piece cranks.

This Tune FS2 BMX bike will be there for you through every coast, race and stunt. Getting it right takes practice, and this freestyle bike handles every jump, grind and 360° spin—whether you land or miss. You’ll be hitting the competitive circuit in no time.

RECO (Racer Engineering Company) was a wholly owned manufacturing division created for insurance purposes to be separate from BMX Products, Inc, even though RECO was always produced in-house. It was headed by Vice President of Manufacturing Hoppy Brooks, in his attempt to market motorcycle frames. Mongoose Bicycles are essentially produced and marketed for two different demographics. Back in 1974, the BMX Products, Inc company was originally known for their famous MotoMags wheels which were produced from cast magnesium.
