Giant Bicycles

Now, if you plan on riding down Pike’s Peak, even the $1600 bike fall apart. The answer with this bike is yes, and yes, and all at an affordable cost. Although the two bikes in this section might both be called the ‘Vapour’ with only the epithets ‘Alloy’ and ‘Carbon’ differentiating them, there are actually significant distinctions to be made. If you’re looking for a fun bike that can also do the grunt-work when required, this is the one for you.

The serial number is stamped into the bottom of the frame (under the bottom bracket). If there are genesis bicycles any issues with your bike, return it for a full refund or receive a replacement bike for free.

More than one review indicated a longer post or stem was needed, neither of which addresses the fact that the frame is a “one size fits most”. The Genesis™ bicycle rack features concentric rings that park bikes safely and securely. The unique design of the Genesis™ is both visually appealing and able to provide double the parking space of typical serpentine racks.. The biggest monster of them all though has to be the Fugio. With its steel frame and carbon fork, asymmetrical chainstays and 650b wheels with gargantuan 50c tyres, it’s perfect if you want a bike that will take you anywhere, but don’t want a mountain bike. The bikes are available either with rim brakes or hydraulic discs, but there is only one spec level with these bikes.

Actual weight of the Genesis V2100 is in the pound range, depending on the accuracy of your scale. It wouldn’t be too much work to bring that down a bit by swapping the heavy steel riser bar for an aluminum one. Of course, any weight savings from the bar swap would be offset when it comes time to replace the pedals (after about two rides or less), as they seem to have earned a reputation as the cheapest pedals ever. We did note that in online reviews, the average owner spent an additional $80 or more to get their bike in working order. Incorrectly installed tubes lasted only until they were inflated. Trailside, it would be a bit cumbersome to fix a flat on the Genesis V2100, since it isn’t equipped with quick release axles at either end.

The greatest restriction on how fast you can go when pinning singletrack is the tyres, yes they are fast rolling but they lack bite, something with greater cornering grip would certainly show off bikes handling better. Cornering is quick and precise with rear wheel drift easily attainable. I can hardly feel the bumps of the road, or on the trail. My only concern is genesis bike not knowing how to replace the pads on my front break, like most models, I have a disc break in front. As with the Day One, there are mudguards, rear pannier rack, and an internally geared rear hub for all weather dependability. If you want more control over exactly what components your bikes is built with, both of these are available to buy as just the frameset.

You could put 38c tyres on it and go bike-packing on some gravel, or you could put front and rear pannier racks on, throw in some mudguards, and take it on an around the world tour. You could even commute, go on road rides, use it as a utility shopper. The Genesis™ bicycle rack has the simple “floating” concentric rings that look like an attractive outdoor sculpture. When full, these same concentric rings park bikes safely and securely. The Genesis™ offers two contact points, at front and rear, for locking. The unique concentric design of the Genesis™ bike rack helps guide bikes into proper parking position while providing double the parking space of typical serpentine racks.
