Mountain and Road Bikes

The Genesis RCT is a no-nonsense hard-tail mountain bike with all the features you need for street and trail. A custom over-sized aluminum frame with a Vitesse suspension genesis mountain bike fork handles bumpy terrain with finesse. The 21 speed drivetrain will get you up and down all the hills easily with light action shifting and Shimano rear derailleur.

Sure, anything that gets you riding is a plus, but as mentioned before you get what you pay for. The Datum comes with 32c tyres, which is a bit closer to the ‘road’ end of the spectrum. But there is clearance for up to 38c, so if the conditions require it, this bike is able to handle the rougher stuff. If you’re in the market for a more porteur-style bike, the Brixton is where Croix de Fer meets cargo. Its 1×9 drivetrain keeps things simple, while the swept back riser bars give the rider a more upright position.

You could put 38c tyres on it and go bike-packing on some gravel, or you could put front and rear pannier racks on, throw in some mudguards, and take it on an around the world tour. You could even commute, go on road rides, use it as a utility shopper. The Genesis™ bicycle rack has the simple “floating” concentric rings that look like an attractive genesis bike outdoor sculpture. When full, these same concentric rings park bikes safely and securely. The Genesis™ offers two contact points, at front and rear, for locking. The unique concentric design of the Genesis™ bike rack helps guide bikes into proper parking position while providing double the parking space of typical serpentine racks.

That’s not to say that they’ve forgotten the road market. A solid steel range and a smattering of aluminium and carbon models brings the brand bang up to date. Finally, for the bikepackers, the Longitude is a fully rigid, steel-framed mid-fat expedition adventure bike.

In this range there are also women’s specific models – in addition to the unisex ones. With these bikes, the saddles have been changed for a women specific model as well as shorter cranks and narrower handlebars being specced to better suit female proportions. Often, they tell us that Walmart gave them our number, and we also get calls from employees building the bikes at Walmart looking for parts, since we are the first thing that comes up when you google Genesis and Bikes. During the cycling season we get about a dozen calls a day from people with a Genesis brand bicycle. Over ten years the range expanded beyond commuter bikes to include road, mountain, cyclo-cross, gravel, kids and fat bikes.

As the price increases, so does the level of tech, with Di2 included in the top-end model. Genesis produces bikes for all cycling disciplines, including road, mountain, cyclocross, gravel/adventure and commuting. Genesis bikes will take you to those places, fulfill your curiosities and make you remember why going for a ride is one of life’s most brilliant experiences. Our high-quality tires are made to give you a smooth ride thru the city. The suspension fork absorbs shock to keep the ride comfortable.

The only good thing about these bikes that I like are the shumano derailleur, the tires, and the grips. My friend has one of these bikes and I’m trying to genesis mountain bike trade him tires lol. But more than that, there’s front and rear dynamo lights, so you never need worry about forgetting/neglecting to charge your lights.

You can see our work for Giant in the grueling Tour de France, on Tokyo commuter streets, and in a garage much like your own. Poorly designed suspension, with a shock that would make Newton cringe (see Newton’s Third Law). It has a drivetrain that many bikes shops simply won’t touch. They’re not snobs, they just know that no amount of time or skill will make loose and sloppy components work well. Since you own this bike, there’s a very good chance that you have never heard of a bike shop. They carry all sorts of odd bits and pieces for bicycles, and may even have a 26″ front rim with disc brake hub.

Actual weight of the Genesis V2100 is in the pound range, depending on the accuracy of your scale. It wouldn’t be too much work to bring that down a bit by swapping the heavy steel riser bar for an aluminum one. Of course, any weight savings from the bar swap would be offset when it comes time to replace the pedals (after about two rides or less), as they seem to have earned a reputation as the cheapest pedals ever. We did note that in online reviews, the average owner spent an additional $80 or more to get their bike in working order. Incorrectly installed tubes lasted only until they were inflated. Trailside, it would be a bit cumbersome to fix a flat on the Genesis V2100, since it isn’t equipped with quick release axles at either end.

This variable speed throttle was designed to be easy on the wrists, and even easier to operate. LCD screen with battery charge indicator for on-the-go battery charge reading. Lowest noise possible, quick disconnect for ease of use, and unmatched dependability.
