Despite what you may have read, you can absolutely enjoy an outdoors experience in an ozark trail tent. They have 6-person tents all the way up to 12-person and that is what they focus on the most. I just wish who I need to contact to get a new tent shell and two end poles that are made of sturdy material would contact me and make good of it. We have never been able to sleep in it and makes a poor storage room. I am 67 yrs old and have used Ozark Trail tents for years, but this covered screen dome turned out NOT TO BE A TENT. I would not even think of unloading it on my worst enemy. There was a breeze so I put bricks around the edge, and the rain tarp didn’t cover the whole of the window like it was supposed to, but that was it was a little hard to set up so it was understandable.
I’m looking into getting a small tent for my first camping excursion. However, I know that I don’t truly want to sink $100 into a tent. This is exactly why their tents don’t last long with frequent use. Their tents are either going to be high value for money or a complete waste of money, in my opinion of course. For a cheap and cheerful tent this served me and my daughter perfectly for 12 nights this August. So I called the company requesting new poles and a month later I have yet to see my new poles. I initially bought the Ozark Trail Family Dome tent because of its price and I had had some success and enjoyment with the Ozark Trail brand in the past. When you’re looking at what you want in a tent, consider how many people are going to be using it. Is it for a large family or just used short camping trips? If you’re going to use air mattresses, be sure it fits your size of mattress (most tents can fit a queen size air mattress).
