Are Ozark Trail Tents Better Than Coleman Tents?

The easiest models to pitch are pretty much always “instant tent” shelters, which use a system of preattached poles than only need to be unfolded and locked into place. With that being said, we have yet to see an ozark trail chair that’s actually “difficult” to set up, so there’s no reason to limit your search to “instant-only” if you don’t mind putting your own poles together. As stated above, durability and materials are the main pain point of Ozark Trail tents.

The stakes it comes with are inadequate; use aftermarket stakes if you want it to stay up. Tip for those who camp, ensure that the tent is pulled tightly this ensures quick runoff of water. Also always put some form of plastic on the ground under the tent this keeps ground water from seeping up, finally keep bags away from the tent sides this reduces surface tension and leads to leaking. The poles I think are a bit fragile though so I am extra careful when setting up no to put too much stress on them after setting up however they hold out quite well even with very strong breeze.

There is a pocket for batteries and with the switch on the ceiling, it is visible in the picture. For all the reasons mentioned above, we’ve found that the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin is the best Ozark Trail tent overall. Its combination of a spacious floor plan, smart layout, and added livability all work together to make it the stand-out model in the Ozark Trail lineup. They mostly focus on family tents but also have smaller tents available for solo adventurers. That’s exactly why they have a wide range of outdoor products and tents to choose from.

I find this a better option, so when you are sitting here you do not have to be concerned about what chairs’ legs might do to the floor. Also when you are cooking in this area (and you will have to if the weather is not so great), you really don’t need a floor, it would become dirty very quickly. The name Ozark Trail 12-Person 3-Room Instant Cabin Tent with Screen Room is descriptive enough and it describes the best features of this tent. So this is a pleasant tent, designed for warm weather and summer camping.

It went up fairly easy and there was no wind or anything else. There was a slight rain when I went to bed on the 3rd night. Also, I noticed that some water was already seeping through the blue fabric at the bottom of the tent, and the fabric is pretty much soaked. It rained for about an hour while I was using this Ozark ozark trail canopy Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent, with about 20 minutes of moderate rainfall and about 40 minutes of pretty light rain. Because there’s only 1 door in the entire ozark tent tent, only 1 “room” will have the door, and the other “room” will only have windows. The door has 2 zippers for the bug net, and 2 for the door itself.

All in all, they specialize in large tents in the affordable price range. I have no idea why they’ve even jumped into the smaller tent market because they do better with the family tents. I want to find the biggest differences between these brands so you know what to expect when ozark trail chair shopping for a tent for your next outdoor adventure. But note that this inner space is 14 x 9 ft (427 x 274 cm), which implies 7 people sleeping side by side, plus two people in the feet zone or the others. This doesn’t look so great, so I would downgrade it to 6-7 people or so.

The poles are not color-coded, but the pole sleeves are. Their tents are waterproof, high quality and packed with features. Their tents slip through quality control much easier than other brands and have been made with low quality materials (most of the time). Sizewise, the total floor area is huge 189 ft² (17.55 m²), but a big part of it is in the screened room. The sleeping area in the main 2 rooms is big enough to accommodate 9 people sleeping on the pads on the floor. This is an extension in front of the main door, across the front of the tent.
