Best Tent Camping: Missouri and the Ozarks: Your Car-Camping Guide to Scenic .. Steve Henry

Over a hundred and seventy dollar Ozark Trail tent completely fell apart on me and my daughter. I had to tape the tent ozark trail sleeping bag together with military issue 100-mile-an-hour tape. Upon taking down the sun shield things started to go sideways.

My wife and I bought this tent at Wal-mart when our son and daughter were about 12 and 9 respectively. Our daughter’s daughter (now 18) took it this weekend on her first solo campout. I bought this tent for a sort trip with three small children. The price was reasonable, the size was wonderful, the set- up easy.

So we had to pack up everything wet and listen to my kids complain about how much they hate camping!! I will never buy another product from ozark trail screen house you or another tent from WAL-MART. We just bought this tent over the weekend and put it up. It started to rain and every seem leaked.

They are the sorriest tents I have ever bought. I have exchanged two tents after the first use, even those leaked. It is a waste of good money to be throwing away on tents. I could have used a bed sheet and stayed drier.

We are adding all kinds of great carnivorous plant content. Go check it out and see if there is anything you like. We also plan on using this at football games in the fall. It’s often raining and it seems like this will also make a great shelter out of the rain. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it beats sitting in the actual rain trying to control an umbrella. You unfold all the poles and make sure to extend them out.

Your tents are not even good for more than two or three camping trips before the 10 has to be replaced because of your substandard zippers you put on the front door. I have had them break while pulling on them. There is a large space between it and the top of the tent that might be a trap for strong wind so the fly gets ripped off.

I can fit six people in with guyer plus the front side zipper pockets are helpful. I got this tent several years ago on short notice and needed in a pinch for a car camping trip. In many places the stitching is missing and in other places it looks like the machine sewing it got stuck in the same place which put a gob of thread ozark trail sun shelter in one area. Long threads were left hanging all over the inside of the tent. There are also many long threads around the zippers so if you do not cut them off they get stuck in the zipper! It is impossible to get it nice and square so that it is pulled taught so that rain will flow off of it instead of pooling in pockets.

The people who make your zippers should quit and get another profession. Your zippers are the worst in all camping gears I have bought. We put a small table and cooking supplies under the sun shade and this worked out nicely. Overall, I started out the trip happy with my purchase. The sun shield was a success considering the $50 price point.

It is easy to set up and take down, and I loved the fact that it has three windows for lots of circulation in the heat and humidity. The first time I got it set up was about that same day. My parents decided to do it and the setup was decent.

And you have to make sure that the zipper is closed well and also sprayed with a water repellent. But unfortunately, they are many morons out there that don’t know the first thing about camping. I have the JW-7607 which is a 2-3 (read that as two) person tent. I have had it for years and am thrilled with it.
