Commuter Riding
I would not recommend this bike to commute to work. I commute to work daily by bike and I haven’t even thought of using my Midtown. Not all the parts on this bike are not standard sizes and it is hard to find replacement parts. If you get a flat, it is a pain to change on the side of a road. If you have hills to climb, this bike doesn’t climb well. We have a gear on each bike where the chain slips (4th gear for me and 3rd gear for my wife).
The 100mm fork offers little more than shock absorption and is not tunable beyond the simple lockout. It’s good for taking the sting off some hits, and in my opinion better than a rigid fork, but that’s about it. A subtle gold sparkle finish on the otherwise black aluminum frame schwinn road bike adds some detail. Many who saw me riding this bike remarked that it’s not bad-looking. I even spotted a routing port for an internal dropper post, though at this price clearly buyers will need to purchase one separately. Bought this bike some time ago and it is very durable.

When it comes to cycling, Schwinn is an entry-level brand you will hear a lot about, and they have an incredible heritage when it comes to bikes, especially mountain bikes. Schwinn bikes will last years with regular maintenance by a professional mechanic and proper care at home.
Schwinn is at the top of our list for solid entry-level mountain bikes. s are probably some of the best entry-level bikes. Although they might be cheaper than most brands, the quality is still there. The frame is aluminum, and it is designed to stay very agile and help the rider with harsh off-road terrain while being robust and lightweight. Schwinn Traxion is an absolute beast, and this bike has some excellent capabilities. Unlike the other bikes above, this is a full-suspension mountain bike and not only has front forks but a rear shock.
We’ve also included alternative bikes with similar features. They are the only thing that works to slow you down on rainy days. If you have to stop suddenly in the rain, regular breaks will not do the job.
