The stitching especially around the doors and windows don’t seem that well done either, and I found a lot of excess threads as well. I don’t think this Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent will do very well against ozark trail chair strong winds. This is a cabin tent, so the shape isn’t aerodynamic at all. Also, when it’s raining, there’s hardly any ventilation. There are no vents in this Ozark Trail 10-Person tent at all.
Apart from the roof though, there’s not a lot of mesh from the 5 windows and the door, because they’re not very big. You can also leave the rainfly off, and stargaze at night when it’s not raining. The door has 2 zippers for the bug net, and 2 for the door itself. The door can be zipped up from both the inside and outside.
It’s perfect for having parents on one side, kids on the other, and living space in the middle. All of this space makes for quite a heavy tent, which weighs 61 lbs. The best part of this tent might be the front, which offers a large front awning to hang ozark trail canopy out under and avoid the blazing sun or rain. The idea of this tent is to bring you the basics at a fair price. For one, there is a built-in mud mat in the front doorway, which I love. This helps keep all the dirt and tiny rocks out of the tent.
This tent was close to foolproof when it came to the rain fly because it was already connected. We were given one as a gift and the first time we went camping we where caught in a severe thunderstorm with torrent rail. When the kids got older the extra dome was used for storage. If you’re looking to save money but still want that cabin tent experience, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Two-Room Cabin is tough to beat.
Because it’s a family cabin the walls are nearly vertical – providing additional interior space. This is because of the zippered panels on the roof of the main room. These panels covered the mesh on the ceiling to prevent heat from escaping out the top of this Ozark Trail family tent.
There are four large doors and 12 windows, so lots of light comes in during daytime hours. The carry weight of the tent is 47.4 pounds, and it’s suitable for three seasons, excluding winter. The tent also includes an e-port, organizer pockets, and one clip-in gear loft.
