Get some hoopty riser handlebars. Just gives you a better workout. I have a 7 speed Shimano thumb shifter and aluminum mountain bike pedals on the way.

The stock seat was very narrow and hard. That is the seat I bought to replace the stock torture device. The new seat is about 13.5″ inches wide and the horn is a lot shorter. It is a lot more comfortable. As far as I can tell, the Malus and Dolomite are essentially the same bike, just with different rims and colors.

The stock brakes kinda suck too so I was thinking about upgrading to Shimano hydraulic brakes in the future. Only thing you’d need to retain is the same cassette (for chain length and gearing compatibility) Hub width, mongoose fat bike axle size and disc size. You’ll be dropping the BB by about 20mm or so, but that’s not a train smash unless you’re already grazing rocks with your cranks & chainring. It’ll also reduce the inertia on the rear, as long as you’re not going heavier with the back wheel. That will make the rear more “lively” by virtue of it being easier to change direction, but not by much. Another by-product of that is that you’ll be able to lift the front more easily as it’ll have slackened out the HA by dropping the rear axle relative to the front axle. The huge SE handlebars are sweet.
Just to add – the wheel size isn’t important but the frame size is. If you’re feeling a bit stretched out on the Raleigh it could be mongoose bicycle that the frame to too big for you. Eg I’m 1.66m and ride a medium 29, but I can also ride a small depending on the frame geometry.
