Walmart Ozark Trail 32-Degree Down Mummy Sleeping Bag

I purchased this sleeping bag for warm weather camping trips at the local lake. For fifteen dollars I wasn’t expecting (or needing) anything that would stand up to freezing weather. Unfortunately the workmanship was more than a little upsetting, even for that price. Keep children comfortable during nights in the tent inside the Ozark Trail Kids 2-lb Sleeping Bag. It is made from a breathable polyester material that keeps little one’s snug while they sleep. The zipper closure is up the side makes it easy to get into and out of in the morning.

Bought this for backpacking because it is lightweight and packs small, but it is a complete waste of $45. Even with clothes, a thin liner and a fleece liner inside it, the bag could not dispel the cold. There was zero insulation properties as far as I could tell. It did not even get down to 40, more like upper 40s at the most and probably low 50s when I used it. It is easy to get in and out of, since the zipper runs down to your feet. It is water resistant, but not waterproof, and it stores extremely well.

However, I used this bag two nights last weekend and found it was too cold on its own—lowest temp was 51 degrees each of those nights. I was in a large tent (admittedly, a smaller tent would have been better) with one other person. I had to ozark trail sleeping bag add a fleece sleeping bag for more insulation. I notice this isn’t the first review with this complaint. The zipper broke on my warm weather bag on the second night out. Too bad too because overall I’ve had good luck with Ozark Trail stuff.

I would not recommend this product to anyone unless I wanted them to freeze and get a terrible night’s sleep. I nearly froze to death on the trail, ozark trail canopy and craftsmanship is garbage (to put it mildly). I bought the zero degree bag and nearly froze to death. This is more like a 40 degree bag rating.
