Coleman Tents V S. Ozark Trail Tents REAL Pictures!

Plenty of customers swear by the Ozark Trail Yurt’s waterproofing, but we recommend treating it with an extra DWR treatment and sealing any missing seams before putting it to work. There’s a lot to love here, but as the Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin is still a budget department store tent, you’ll want to be aware of a few shortcomings. First, although this is an instant tent, the unique layout and integrated awning make setup a little more involved than most. Second, the tall vertical walls and “L” shape make it about as far from aerodynamic as they come. Do NOT phone in the guyline portion of set-up (regardless of the weather) or you’ll risk damaging the tent. Finally, the material of this shelter is noticeably higher quality than many Ozark Trail tents, but the 68D polyester is still not as thick as we’d like.

Generally speaking, if you go into buying an Ozark Trail tent with reasonable expectations, you won’t be disappointed. None of these tents are designed to hold up in a serious thunderstorm. They’re not built for heavy winds, and they certainly aren’t made to stand up to heavy snow. This shelter may be the least expensive in our roundup, but it still packs some sweet features worth noting. Our favorite is the “storage locker” which gives you a protected place to store items like muddy shoes outside the tent, but can also be accessed from inside using a second zipper. It’s a great spot to stash your “middle of the night bathroom break” shoes and anything else you don’t want taking up space inside the tent.

The lowest height in the tent, which is at the four corners, is about 65 inches. This is slightly taller than my height, so I could stand up everywhere inside the Ozark Trail Tent, even at the corners. I had a huge Texas rainstorm come and it made everything wet. So I went out and got 2 tarps and draped them over the top and tied them down to the tent.

Walmart has some pretty great prices on s, right now if you are in need of some camping gear to get started for camping season. It’s a great way to get started as they are so affordable. I love this as it keeps camping one of the most affordable vacations you can take, even if you need supplies to start. Their tents start at as low as just $29.97 for 3 people and $39 for 4 people tents! Plus there are some super deals on easy set up tents and family size tents too. For cons, there’s only 1 door in the entire 10-person tent, there’s almost no ventilation at all when it’s raining, and it also leaks within just 15 minutes of light rain.

So this is again a very functional setup suitable for picnics. You have a floorless 2-door screenhouse for protection from flying insects, plus a large porch for sitting in the shade. I have all the good reasons to include it to my list of best screen houses for camping. That’s why I like Ozark Trail – their tents provide ozark trail tent strong protection against wind, rain and sun across the board. Certainly it’s not the best weather protection money can buy, but for summer campers and those will be avoiding bad storms, they will hold up just fine. Similar to easy setup, some tent brands are just flat-out better at weather protection than others.

Tent brands usually make the same decisions across all their tents. They form the corners the same way and attach everything the same way, too. If they get it right with one tent, it’s likely all of their tents have great weather protection. The design of this tent is a big rectangle, and it only has one door, but I haven’t found this setup to be a problem. The front door is a massive T-style door, allowing you to move large gear in and out with ease. If the previous tent isn’t your style, you might be itching for an Ozark Trail cabin tent.

No ozark trail chair is perfect, but as far as full-size family camping tents go, this is the one to beat. In this setup you have a 4-person tent plus a screened area in front of it. This is a very useful option and I have included it in my list of family camping tents with a screen porch. My personal favorite Ozark Trail tent is the 12-person, 3-room instant cabin tent.

You also might be able to squeeze in another twin-sized bed if you want to pack more people in. If you are looking for a lighter weight family tent that can hold up better to the elements, then the 8-person modified dome tent will make sense for you. Not only is it the perfect tent, but it includes the 4-person dome tent, 2 sleeping bags, 2 pillows, 2 foam sleeping pads, 2 chairs, 2 dry bags, 1 lantern and 1 carry-all bag. The easiest models to pitch are pretty much always “instant tent” shelters, which use a system of preattached poles than only need to be unfolded and locked into place. Ease of setup (how easy it is to pitch and take down a tent) is pretty much always a high mark for Ozark Trail tents. These tents are built for first-time and/or fairweather campers, so Ozark Trail puts a lot of effort into making them easy to use.
