Ozark Trail 2 Person Orange Camping Tents for sale

I have only bought Coleman tents in the past and have been very happy with them. The only reason I bought a new tent was for more space, which this tent provided at a resonable price. Setup was typical for this size tent – definitely a two person job. We planned on camping for a week and ended up only camping for five days because of the tent’s incapacity to keep us dry. The one downside with integrated rain flies is the lack of ventilation and temperature control.

Shape wise most Ozark Trail tents either come in a cabin or dome shape. Cabin tents typically have more room inside to stretch out thanks to their high ceilings and vertical walls, so most Ozark Trail shoppers will likely want to focus on cabin tents. With that being said, there are a few things you’ll want to know going into your purchase. First, all Ozark Trail tents should be considered “fair-weather” shelters. That doesn’t mean they all leak when it rains or collapse when it’s windy, but they simply aren’t built for bad weather. Light wind and rain should be fine, but you’ll want to take some steps to prepare for both (more on that below).

The Ozark Trail 9 Person Cabin shares the same shortcomings as the other discount cabins found in the Ozark Trail lineup, most notably being its weather protection and durability. As far as fairweather shelters go, however, this one may be the best value in terms of livability for your money. This screened-in shelter also gets high points for its price, which is always a selling point with an , but this one represents a particularly good value considering all its features. The first good design feature is the placement of the door on the side, and more specifically on the long side of the tent.

Large dome tents are also an option, and although they’re a little less flashy, they have some perks of their own. First off, dome tents are typically less expensive since they have fewer total parts and less sophisticated frames. Second, dome tents tend to fare better in bad weather because they’re rounded shapes are more aerodynamic.

Note that this awning/porch is a natural part of the rain fly so you cannot detach it. The pole which you see used for the awning is included in the package. Because of all this, I have included it in my list of best cabin tents with a porch. The tent features include built-in storage pockets for smaller items, two rope light sets, a carry bag, a sealed-seam rainfly for added weather protection and a built-in awning and mud mat. While both Coleman and Ozark Trail are highly inexpensive family camping tents, this is where Ozark Trail outshines Coleman. While I paid between $250 to $350 for both my 10-Person Coleman Tents, I paid only about $100 for the Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent, which is less than half the price of my Coleman tents.

The thing wore like iron and was amazingly waterproof. I use the thing on the beach at many many campsites it was a 6 foot dome style, just enough to stand up when you are putting ozark trail tent your clothes on. In many places the stitching is missing and in other places it looks like the machine sewing it got stuck in the same place which put a gob of thread in one area.

Newer tents build in vents and roofs that you can open up to promote airflow, along with the mesh windows that will let in air when you choose. Some tents are also built to keep out the sun’s rays, making them great for those who like midday naps on vacation. Although some tents promise to hold up to 12 people, things can get a little cramped when you have all the sleeping bags fully rolled out. Measurements will matter more than how the tent is advertised, so use a measuring tape to map it out and decide on the size that will accommodate sleeping arrangements. So as you see, the Eureka Copper Canyon 12 is lighter but it is smaller and it offers fewer features, and it is not an instant tent. On the other hand, the Core Lighted 12 tent is an instant type, but a bit smaller and lower.

It has been up now for two weeks in the back yard and through wind and raining has done very well. I’m curious if the other reviewers put on the blue top, or just had a few defective tents. I still plan to put the sealer and waterproofing on anyway. My cousin bought another brand and got lots of rain despite sealing it. She will now most likely get an ozark b/c of the results of my tent. I would love to own another tent by Ozark Trail but am not looking forward to paying that and then wake up getting rained upon.
