With the locking lid, there appears to be more heat transference than the open mouth lid. Even with the locking lid absorbing more heat, it does provide a few degrees more heat retention over time. It features rubber latches which I am a huge fan of for boating applications. When you are out on the water, people often sneak over to grab something from the cooler and may not latch it back up. With a hard plastic latch, you run the risk of brushing by the cooler and hitting your shin, which I have done and is awful. One of my favorite features though is the rubber wheels vs. the hard plastic wheels on the Pelican and Yeti.
You set a new ozark trail backpack low in tents and the damn zippers you put in them. What are they plastic or made out of pewter.And before you guys cop an attitude, I have been camping since I was at least 4 years old and I am now in my mid-50s. My family and I have used it a total of 3 times and the seams have ripped. There is no way we can camp with this tent, if it would rain it would ruin everything. I just bought the 9’x7′ backpacking tent 2 days ago, because I want to do some bikepacking here in FL.
