Ozark Trail adult 10-liter backpacking daypack for $6

Keep an eye out for a short spur trail between Sutton Bluff campground and Highway TT which leads to Grasshopper Hollow, the largest fen (peat-forming wetland) in non-glaciated North America. If you’re searching east of the Rockies for stunning scenery, technical terrain, and a long hike option sans the AT crowds, this is your pick. Along the way you’ll cross paths with fewer people than you can count on two hands—just keep an eye out for mountain bikers and horseback riders who frequent the multi-use sections of the trail. So if you ordered more than one item on a single order and receive only a part of your item don’t worry, you will receive your other items shortly after.

But they are fun to look at and likely safer for children, who might not know they should avoid staring directly into the light. Upon first setting up the Wiz, we found it tough to get the batteries into the housing (it’s intentionally hard to pry open, for safety). Once they’re in, however, the light turns on and immediately enters Rainbow mode. Clicking through the options is also tricky (you never really know which one you’re going to get), but the kid testers seemed excited by this, rather than frustrated.

Two center-line bunkers in the fairway split the hole between the low left side and the high right side. Staying left gives you a shorter distance to the hole, but the right side of the fairway gives you an elevated look to the green without having to carry the greenside bunkers on your approach. Don’t get distracted by the waterfalls in the background! This downhill par 3 features a heart-shaped green with plenty of trouble on all sides. A flowing creek off to the right feeds into a large pond to the left of the green with additional cascading falls and a bunker beyond the hole.

Exploring Missouri’s scenic Ozark backcountry is one of the best reasons to head out on the trail. The Ozark Trail Association marks and improves the trail and ensures backpacking campsites are well maintained. What’s more, the OT offers many things to see and experience for both seasoned and first-time backpackers.

ozark trail canopyThe Spot 400 is known to be one of the most durable headlamps available. Jenni ran it through a dryer cycle, and it came out no worse for the wear. We also threw it into our backpacks for long hikes, lost it in the chaotic trunk of our cars on occasion, and Jenni let her toddler play with it. All of Black Diamond’s headlamps are backed by the company’s three-year warranty. Split the bunkers on your tee shot at the 11th, but favoring the right side will give you the best look at the green.

The Spot also offers a flood option (a white LED that casts a wider beam) and a red LED; like the main LED, both of these max out at 400 lumens and are dimmable. This guide is for people who want a hands-free alternative to a good flashlight. A headlamp can be useful for car camping, completing a DIY home-improvement project, taking your dog on late-night walks, and digging in the back of a dark closet, among other things. And if you need a headlamp for running—or you want one for a kid—we have options for those scenarios, too. Weighing just over an ounce, this comfortable, adjustable, ultralight headlamp works great for running or other high-movement adventures. It’s not as bright as our top pick, though, and has more-limited battery life.

A brute on the scorecard, but this long par 3 plays drastically downhill. Adjust your yardages to account for the change in elevation. A large ridge runs down the middle of the green with the left side serving as the high side. Thanks to the mesh on the back and seat of the chair, your body can enjoy refreshing air circulation even if you sit down on a hot day. With two cup holders, you won’t run out of drinks anytime soon, and the cooler beneath the left-hand cup holder is deep enough to hold snacks, books, etc. If you want to eat there, the wide arms may be able to hold a small plate.

ozark trail outdoor equipmentThe 8th is a par 5 with multiple fairway bunkers both left and right. Keep your tee shot left and safely away from the trees on the right to give yourself a clear shot at the green. The long and narrow green angles back from left to right with a high mound on the back part of the green. Keep your tee shot on the right side of the fairway for the best opportunity to get home in two on this risk-reward par 5.
