Not only that, but the dome tent will keep you safe from the elements better than any cabin tent out there. Not many tents offer this sewn-in option, so it’s a nice touch. When you’re not sleeping, you can still keep the rooms open and fold back the doors for a lovely roomy and airy feel. It’s connected to the rainfly, so you can only use it when the fly is on, but it’s perfect for protecting against sunrays and light rain. It’s best to avoid camping locations with high winds or a lot of rain, as this tent is made for more 3-season trips.
If you’re not an experienced camper, it will still work great for a backyard camp out with the kids. This cheap backpacking tent might be a viable option if you’re on a budget, BUT we will have to dig a little deeper to find the real quality of this product. Compared to competitors like Core and Coleman, Ozark Trail’s weather protection isn’t as solid. After spending a lot of time with Ozark Trail tents, my final verdict is that they’re excellent budget-friendly tents. Like any brand, Ozark Trail tent’s waterproof resistance and performance will depend on each tent’s design, the tent material, and factory flaws. Ozark Trail tents are competitive with CORE and Coleman Tents, but in our opinion ultimately fall a little short of both brands in quality and consistency.

I think that this 35 dollar tent could outlast the expensive ones. Mine is red and black and the rainfly covers everything except for a tiny place to get in. Only complaint was the zipper hangs on the front door flap, destroyed flap and zipper. I purchased this ozark hammock chair tent to take to music festivals and such, because it is like a small house. One day into a 3-day festival, I returned to camp to find both of the large poles snapped right in two. I called North Pole (the makers of Ozark Trail tents) not to get much help!
