Ozark Trail 8 Person Camping Tents for sale

Later had poles break in another section after water got down inside a pole joint and froze breaking it. I then purchased several of the coghlan’s tent pole repair kits and made myself a new set of poles. These poles are MUCH more durable, have been through similar abuse and have not broke. During set up one of the guys stepped on one of the poles breaking it.

This Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent has only 2 pockets in the entire tent, and both measure about 13 inches in length and 6 inches in width, which is very tiny for such a huge tent. The door does have a bug ozark trail tent net, but it’s only for half the door, and not the full door. The holes are quite large, so I’m pretty sure that this is not no-see-um mesh. The best canopy tent is the ABCCanopy KingKong Series 10×10.

Again, s are mainly fair weather camping tents (so you won’t be hiking into the backcountry with them) which means weight and packed size aren’t a big priority. All the windows and doors also have to be closed, because otherwise, the rain would drip right into the tent. Even in light rain, the rain does get on to the window and door mesh, so it’s best to keep them full closed. The mattresses that I used in the picture above are slightly smaller than queen size, but almost queen-sized, give or take a couple of inches. These 4 mattresses take up the entire tent, and there’s hardly any space leftover for camping gear. Easy to put up, nice size….but only for fair weather.

The tent is with huge mesh windows around, plus all the ceiling is mesh (see the picture below), so ventilation is not an issue in this tent. But if it is raining you will have to keep panels on the doors and windows. So they have added vents and you have them 3, ozark trail chair one per room. I have seen people asking if any of those vents can be used to fit an air conditioner, and the answer is no. This is also a 3-room structure and the rooms are depicted in the picture above. Each of the rooms has its own door and several windows.

The single door measures about 54 by 39 inches in dimensions, although it’s about 62 inches from the floor to the top of the door. This is almost a full-sized door, but I do need to duck a little when entering. If there’s no rain, you can unzip the windows for more ventilation, and there’s a bug net to prevent larger bugs from getting in.

Thank you OZARK for making camping nights with small children just a little more difficult!!!! Good thing we are all troopers and we didn’t let your HORRIBLE product ruin our trip. When you buy anything from Walmart it is made cheap so it can sell for cheap.

I also liked how my head wasn’t directly beside the door, which often occurs for an end-door tent. If something crawled through the zipper door it wouldn’t immediately be inches from my face but instead would have to work its way a few more feet to my head. At the same time, my head wasn’t zero or six feet from the door, but about two or three feet at all times. Usually I share a 2- or 3-person tent when backpacking with others to split up the weight, but as mentioned we each needed to be self-contained so I brought my 1-person tent from Ozark Trail. I continually snooped on other campers to see what I missed on other brands. I especially like the storage bag which, unlike most other bags, is large enough to repack the tent without undue aggravation.

I just bought the 9’x7′ backpacking tent 2 days ago, because I want to do some bikepacking here in FL. The first time I got it set up was about that same day. My parents decided to do it and the setup was decent. I’m going to Coleman for now on because you are incapable of making a zipper that doesn’t break so damn easy on the door. The question I put to you are you making this material out of pewter or real metal. What more descriptions do you need, my finger went on handle pulled it down it broke.

They’re not built for heavy winds, and they certainly aren’t made to stand up to heavy snow. This Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent has a packed size of 29 by 18 by 13 inches. For a size comparison, here’s what it looks like beside a Coleman 2-Person Sundome Tent, as well as a 32-ounce Nalgene bottle, and it weighs about 30 pounds for everything. There was quite a bit of this sort of inconsistent mesh in some places, so not very well put together. There was no info provided by Ozark Trail on the material of the flooring, but it feels like your regular polyethylene bathtub flooring, and doesn’t seem very thick. I forgot to measure the height of the bathtub flooring, but I think it’s about 5 inches.

I don’t know why they didn’t put a straight zipper in the center with two straight zippers across the bottom. That design would probably be more durable long term. I am preparing for a camping trip of 10 days and nights down in Florida where it rains a lot and the wind sometimes is pretty strong so I am wondering if the fly will stay put. There is a large space between it and the top of the tent that might be a trap for strong wind so the fly gets ripped off. I think I will go shopping this week for another tent that I feel better about.
