Ozark Trail Gray Camping Tents

This ginormous Ozark Trail 20-Person 4-Room Cabin Tent can be used as a home away from home, accommodating lots of gear and furniture, including up to 6 airbeds. Camp with confidence in this weather resistant with wind stable designed tent. Full of amenities, this tent truly is an oasis in the woods. It has an ePort to run an extension cord and a media pocket and 2 gear hammocks to safely store your electronic gadgets.

It took me about double the time to set it up on my own (so, 20 minutes). But unfortunately, because I’m not tall (I’m 5’3″), I couldn’t get the rainfly ozark trail canopy up on my own, and that’s where I got stuck. To set up the Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent, first slide the 3 fiberglass poles through the roof pole sleeves.

No Ozark Trail tent is perfect, but as far as full-size family camping tents go, this is the one to beat. It is easy to set up and take down, and I loved the fact that it has three windows for lots of circulation in the heat and humidity. Over a hundred and seventy dollar ozark trail tent completely fell apart on me and my daughter. I had to tape the tent together with military issue 100-mile-an-hour tape. Yes, I had to tape the tent poles together at night because the snaps failed miserably when the wind blew gently and caused the tent to completely collapse… in great weather, with little wind, and no rain.

Otherwise I like the tent but do not trust it to hold up in severe conditions. I have been camping all of my life and I know camping gear. This is just to let you know of my background and my knowledge.

Screen rooms, shade awnings, storage vestibules, and privacy dividers are also great examples of livability-added features. These features all work together to make a tent feel more like your home away from home and less like a makeshift shelter in the woods. The one exception to the rule here is for the larger cabin-style tents, especially those with an “instant tent” design that uses pre-attached poles. These shelters tend to be much heavier and bulkier when packed up due to the frame design, so you’ll want to make sure you’ve got room to transport them in your vehicle and store them in your home before buying. Second, Ozark Trail tents are affordable because they use very basic materials.

The Ozark Trail 10-Person Tent also comes with a room divider, so you can split the tent into 2 rooms, and each “room” can fit 2 queen-sized camping mattresses. Each window has 2 zippers, which are a little bit noisy, but are generally quite snag-free. The lowest height in the tent, which is at the four corners, is about 65 inches. This is slightly taller than my height, so I could stand up everywhere inside the Ozark Trail Tent, even at the corners. The 2 green pole sleeves are for the longer diagonal poles (with 9 fiberglass segments), and the 1 blue pole sleeve is the for the shorter pole (with 5 fiberglass segments). The picture below shows the light on in one out of three modes, low, medium and high light.

The main thing to know going into an Ozark Trail purchase is that you need to do your due diligence not to overstress the materials because a heavy hand can absolutely damage them. Take time to inspect your tent when you first get it (damages from shipping are common), and don’t ever “force” anything when setting up or tearing down your shelter. The Ozark Trail Three Room Instant Cabin takes our top spot as the best ozark trail tent.

The gear organizer is a nice addition here, and you also have an electrical cord access port. All the windows are with panels and mesh, for privacy and protection. The carry bag is nicely designed and you can see it ozark trail canopy below. There are two vents close the floor, one for each room. This in combination with the mesh on the ceiling and with numerous windows with mesh is a guarantee that ventilation cannot be an issue in this tent.
