Doctor Simic tells me it’s chronic and incurable, that’s the bad news. The good news is that’s it’s damn predictable. Once a month, like clockwork, I turn into a wolf and have to kill. I said mostly healthy because I don’t think anybody thinks of broken collarbones or Alpha-gal Syndrome as healthy things.
Although this is his first time coaching mountain biking, Anthony appreciates the fearlessness and athleticism that the sport requires. He hopes to help expand the program to get more students involved while creating a culture that emphasizes hard work, confidence, and effort when taking to the trails. Anthony is originally from Ballston Spa, a town in Upstate New York near Saratoga Springs. He looks forward to being in the woods more often, exploring the great biking trails available in the School’s backyard, and taking on adventures (and big jumps) with the team. Our lightweight helmet includes certified ABS exterior and an EPS interior to keep you safe. 10 rectangular vents, six on top and two located in the front and back regulate temperature by generating maximum airflow. Fresh air rushes in and pushes out stuffy air to keep you cool, dry, and comfortable. The front of the helmet is designed to accommodate ski goggles and includes a clip on the back to secure them. The inside is lined with a fleece netted cap to wick away moisture and keep you warm.
I was worried about rabies so I went to the doc and got the shots. Four shots over fourteen days and the doctor said I’d be fine. There’s a whole hell of a lot doctors don’t know. One night a few year ago I’m riding one of my favorite trails and a deer comes crashing out of the brush and slams into my front wheel. Right as we both go down a big gray dog jumps on the deer and tears its throat open. Because I’m an idiot, I try to smack the dog away and it takes a nip at me.
I was thirsty and stopped in for a root-beer. I didn’t think some junky would pinch my bike in the couple of minutes I was in kent mountain bike the store. It turned out I’d run miles into the woods. It took me all damn day to find my clothes and find my way back home.
We all get breaks in life, some are bad, some are good, and a hell of a lot of them are what you make of them. And we all get our share of obsessions, beats me where they come from, but sometimes they save you and sometimes they destroy you. First one’s free, I bet you understand that. Anyhow, I got hooked on something that’s mostly healthy and I guess that saved my life.
