10 Best Ozark Trail Tents ALL Sizes Rated & Reviewed

Trailspace’s community of gear reviewers has field-tested and rated the top tents and shelters. My Ozark tent was set up in my wooded acerage all summer long. I was so pleased with the quality that I upgraded and bought a bigger Ozark tent.

There are no vents in this Ozark Trail 10-Person tent at all. Apart from the roof though, there’s not a lot of mesh from the 5 windows and the door, because they’re not very big. Because there’s only 1 door in the entire tent, only 1 “room” will have the door, and the other “room” will only have windows.

I could make a better shelter out of cardboard boxes and scotchgard. Also using a ground cover under the tent (seems obvious to me) will help prevent water from coming in from the underside of the tent. Thank you OZARK for making camping nights with small children just a little more difficult!!!! Good thing we are all troopers and we didn’t let your HORRIBLE product ruin our trip. Not the best, but certainly better than other shelters I’ve stayed in.

That doesn’t mean they all leak when it rains or collapse when it’s windy, but they simply aren’t built for bad weather. Light wind and rain should be fine, but you’ll want to take some steps to prepare for both (more on that below). It’s a cool tent all around, but our favorite feature has to be the 360-degree views delivered courtesy of this yurt’s giant mesh windows. There are three of these large floor-level windows along the walls of the tent, plus the giant mesh doorway that can be left open in good weather. Having room to spread out inside a tent is great, but unless it’s after dark or raining, chances are you won’t be spending any more time inside your shelter than you absolutely have to. Nobody wants to spend all day sitting in direct sunlight either though, and that’s where a tent with a screen room like this Ozark Trail 9 Person Cabin comes into play.

Even the 4p and 6p can be used for backpacking and so on, but you should share the load with your camping buddies. Since this part can be quite a weak spot in terms of leaks, we love that each model considers this, as the rainflies aren’t full coverage and you need that protection. Being in the same series of tents, they stick to the modern approach with some variances to accommodate to the different capacities. An Ozark Trail tent is a great introductory piece of equipment. A simple Google search will provide a dozen locations to purchase an Ozark Trail tent. The fabric of the tent is polyester taffeta, which is fine, tightly-woven polyester filaments that are typically thin.

Sure, the chairs are a bit small, and the pillows are tiny camping pillows, but this deal is a steal for those without any gear. For pros, the Ozark Trail 10-Person Cabin Tent is very, very inexpensive, and is by far my least expensive tent for the size. There was quite a bit of this sort of inconsistent mesh in some places, so not very well put together. I also found a bunch of loose threads on the floor when I first got into the tent, and excess material on some parts.

These include sidewalls, weight bags, and a host of other great add-ons that can really increase the use and versatility of the canopy tent. Perhaps our two favorites are camping tent additions that connect to the frame of the shelter and leverage the stability of the 10×10 frame to support a camping tent ozark trail chair structure. So, without tons of additional waterproofing, Ozark Trail tents are definitely not meant for rainy weather of any kind, even in light rain. I also rain tested my Coleman Sundome Tents, and I have the regular 6-person version, the 6-Person Dark Room version, and also the Elite 6-Person version.
